At El Cría, our cutting-edge incubation center in Costa Rica, 24 computer-monitored tanks monitor and nurture world-class tilapia from egg to hatchling. Regulated feeding times and real-time water pH and oxygenation checks keep our incubation ponds fresh, pure, and bursting with micro and macronutrients that keep our fish thriving.
As each tilapia grows, scheduled field visits from our skillful veterinary team help us monitor health conditions and breed vibrant, abundant stock. At Rainforest Tilapia, our fish are more than just product, they are cherished resources we nourish with pride.
We can trace the entire life history of each fish in our care from farm, to processing plant, to market -- seven generations back!
